Extremely high in acidity (a prized
attribute of coffee affectionate’s) clean and bright with interesting low tones
of fruit such as, grapefruit, plum, current, and lemon. Chocolate notes
seem to be present towards the finish. The mouth-feel is smooth with a
rounded body. The fragrance is amassing. We roast this coffee very
lightly to accentuate its complexity…it is definitely an amassing example of Kenya’s
best.
INTERESTING NOTE:
Kenya is considered by most coffee professionals to be the best
coffee in the world. This is largely due to the systems in place within Kenya
to promote quality…such as auctioning each farmer’s lot separately to the
highest bidder. This encourages quality because the best farms will
receive the highest price per pound. What about the AA?
Kenyan coffee is graded very much like the way Americans grade eggs in a
grocery store, the AA simply means that this coffee is the
biggest, cleanest , and most uniform that Kenya has to offer.
